Things to Keep in Mind:

  • Water is to be given throughout the day during nutrition time and one more time at 4:30 P.M. If parents have allowed.
  • Diaper should be checked/changed every hour
  • Depending on wet, BM, or dry, if child soils diaper within the time period of an hour after being changed, then the child needs to be changed immediately
  • Usual nap time for infant room is after their lunch time around 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. for those who are ready to take a nap
    – However, infants are on demand for napping, feeding, and learning, so they take little naps throughout the day according to their infant needs
  • Two teachers should never be in the same place away from the children being unattended (example: one day staff #1 was with child’s mom and staff #2 took other child and started changing him, therefore the rest of the babies were unattended) *As soon staff 1 is done talking to mom, staff #2 could have changed after that within 1 or 2 minutes
  • There should be no chit chat going on about personal or non-work related things unless it is about the program, or schedule, etc.
  • When children are crying, take care of their needs first ALWAYS, anything else that needs to be discussed can be done later at a less hectic time
  • Clean up and put things on shelf & organize every hour. Please do this so that children can practice and explore properly
  • Try to take all children out if they are awake, bottles can be fed outside. Things outside should be spread out nicely and not all just in one place
  • Please keep things clean and organized on counter and in the cupboards or closets. Keep the original setting of the room, do no change location of items on shelves and closets

Thank you for your cooperation.
