Strong neural pathways in the brain. An MKLA classroom’s environment provides a variety of opportunities and training for infants; your child has access to a quiet nursery with individual cribs for napping, an eating area equipped with child-sized tables, and a play area where infants are stimulated through art, language, music, and sensory exploration.
MKLA’s Toddlers work to progress in their acquisition of physical independence and social development, and will also start developing fine and gross motor skills. The classroom environment also eases the separation from the parents in a positive and enjoyable manner, and will fully prepare the children for the next level of learning.
At this age, children learn at an incredible rate, and concepts in Mathematics (including fractions, geometry and decimals), Geography, Cultural Studies art, writing/reading readiness, and musical enrichment are taught using concrete materials. Children become more familiar with the world around them through the study of animal and plan life, and will improve their sensorial development in both the concrete and the abstract. This is also the best age to introduce children to practical life-skills, such as making their own food, cleaning, and caring for animals/pets.

MKLA’s Pre-K Readiness Program is designed to focus on age-appropriate mastery of language comprehension/application, phonetics, early math and science, social skills, spatial reasoning, following directions, and critical thinking skills. All skills developed in earlier programs are honed, with a focus on fine motor skills, using arts and crafts. With consistent exposure to the MKLA program, it is our strong belief that your child will be prepared for a successful transition to Kindergarten, and Elementary School as well.
We offer extra-curricular activities as follows:
Yoga, AMS, Music, Spanish, and Cosmic Education.
